Stately Home of Los Torrado (Asadelos)
The stately home, property of the Asadelos family was built in 1540 by the founder of the lineage himself, Juan Torrado el Viejo. The large house, made of masonry, has a singular hammer-shaped ground plan, formed by two parts, one of them longer than the other. The shorter one was probably the primitive tower. Downstairs, there are some rooms employed for different uses, whereas upstairs were the typical “parladoiros”, aconditionated places next to the window where people used to sit for talking.
