Stately Home of Agüeiros
The Agüeiros stately home is a country house, half peasant, half seafaring, placed in a small hill by the Arousa Estuary. The oldest part of the estately home, the left wing, is dated in the 16th century. On the other side, the right wing is dated in the end of the 18th century, although it was built trying to preserve the former resemblance with the other wing. The most outstanding element of the property is the park, which has a valuable font with two baroque jets. There is a pier which closes the land in the border of the shore. This is the jetty where one of the most important elements of the stately home is found: two sited lions holding a shield that seems to be medieval. The shrienk of San Martiño, placed in the slope to Budión, was ceded to the country house where nowadays is placed. The coat of arms of the Aldao, the Mariño, the Valladares or the Romai can be seen on it.
