The Otero Goiáns´ House ( Riveira )
The large house of Os Otero Goiáns family is placed at the centre of Riveira town, opposite to the parish temple of Santa Uxía. The temple houses a valuable documentary archive that contains information from the times of the Otero Goyanes. This family was the owner of Sálvora, Vionta and Noro islands as a consequence of the marriages between this family and the Mariño and Soutomaior families. It is remarkable the fact that being an urban house, it has a row sunny spot. Its coat of arms served as inspiration to Castelao, who included the mermaid of the Mariño lineage in one of his covers.
