Celtic hill-forts, funeral monuments or “mámoas”&Dolmens. The area of land of the present council of A Pobra do Caramiñal was already populated during the pre-historic period, before the arrival of the Romans. A dolmen from the megalithic culture is preserved at the Sierra, in Casarota do Fuxiño. A Pobra also has traces from the Celtic culture or “Castrexa” in the Celtic defensive constructions found in Punta Oseira and in Posmarcos; both places have not undergone any archaeological project of excavation: Sectión of Defensive Wall - Hill on which settled the Celtic hill-fort the Celtic hill-fort a Croa.
