Santa María de Isorna
The parish church of Isorna was built in the beginning of the 18th century in Santa María’s honour, the patron saint of the parish. The bell tower is the most outstanding element of the outside structure. It seems it has been built directly over the tile roof.
The main feature of the façade is its harmonic austerity, which highlights a figure of the Virgin placed on top of the door in a shelf crowning the canopy. The terraced buttress is also a singular element, integrated in the temple’s façade. It may belong to ancient restorations.
