Santa Cruz de Lesón
(In Lesón. 2km far from the urban centre, passing by the shrine of A Virxe do Monte).
This temple is annexed to the parish church of Santiago do Deán. The first written records about the existence of a temple in the parish of Lesón were found in the "Relación de Tructino", a document of the year 814 that stands as a unique probe of its age. The well-known historic episode is the consecration of the romanesque church by the archbishop of Compostela Diego Xelmírez in the 12th century. The present day small and modest building was built in 1906 and its façade belongs to 1920.
