Santa Baia de O Araño

Although the sacristy and the bell tower are of late construction, most of the current parish temple of O Araño was built in the 17th century. The temple is a complex made up of the church, the graveyard and the rectory house, which also has an orchard and a big granary.
The main façade is characterised by its simplicity. The front holds an entrance door completed by a semicircular arch and a rectangular window on top of the opening. Above the tower’s door we see a figure of the Virgin. The tower’s dimension does not correspond with those of the rest of the temple and this produces an imbalance effect.
