Santa Comba de Rianxo
The parish church of Rianxo was built at the end of the 15th century melting in harmony elements from the gothic, plateresque and baroque style. Most of the temple belongs to the Gothic excepting the façade, which is plateresque from the first half of the 16th century, and the lateral chapels, the tower and the high altar. These elements belong to the baroque period, maybe from the beginning of the 18th century.
The façade has a plateresque front in which stands out a beautiful bulrush placed over the entrance door, lighting up the inside of the temple. Also in this façade it is a Christ’s relief, showing his sores, and angels with trumpets.
