The craved stone Laxe das Crabas and Bealo, in Boiro
In Nine, place belonging to the parish of Cespón in Boiro, ascending to the country house of Cubeliño is where the carved stone Laxe das Crabas is placed. It could belong to the Bronze Age and it represents a complete horned animal (it is supposed to be a deer, although ‘crabas’ seems to reffer to ‘cabras’ —‘goats’) and another incompleted one of a smaller size, that some experts have interpreted as a representation of a bird. It presents the peculiarity of being placed in decline.
Besides from the Laxe das Crabas in Boiro we found other carved stones of interest, most of them representing circles or labyrinths that usually symbolize the eternal and the infinitive. The most important ones are those of Can dos Reis, Agüeiros and those found between Macenda and Confurco,
and those of San Ramón of Bealo of great interest and very acesibles, to 50 meters in front of the Church of San Ramón of Bealo.
