Roman Road of the Vitres Mountain, in Boiro There are many branches of the Via per Loca Maritima, as the way XX of the Antonino route, that cross the county of A Barbanza passing through the today council of Boiro. In the Vitres Mountain, it is found a stretch of about 150 m of length of this Roman way, valued for its exceptional state of preservation. It presents a width that fluctuates between the 2 and the 5 m, reaching the widest size in the stretches of banked bends. It was built with very big stone slabs placed over a mortar. It is signalled with milestones and all along the path there were sited mansions and station for the rest and provisioning of the travellers. There are two possible ways for visiting and knowing the Roman Road. Nevertheless none of them have been conveniently signaled and prepared.
